Actress Anushka Sharma has urged everyone to observe the upcoming festival of Diwali without noise and firecrackers for the sake of creatures.
Ahead of Diwali next month, the “Dil Dhadakne Do” star will set in motion a campaign “Pawsitive” through Facebook and Twitter to advance people to cut down the use of crackers, especially in residential countries.
“Animals are our best allies. They make me laugh and I share a personal attachment with them. Their benefit is one cause that’s near to my affection and I will hold back taking up initiatives that makes us care for them as well. When someone bursts fire crackers during Diwali, they don’t think of how it affects animals or birds,” Anushka said in a statement.
“With ‘Pawsitive’, I hope I can cheer some of us to worry about them, and avoid creating a good deal of disturbance,” she added.
